"I've always done things the hard way. I was born like a piece of tangled yarn. The job is trying to untangle it, and I'll probably go on doing it for the rest of my life."

Just Finished This For MOM

For my mother, her head is a little bigger than mine so this is kind of too big for my head, but you get the idea.

Hat

Ok, I have the basic hat going on here...it has a bit of a brim in the front and I plan on adding something like buttons and a crocheted strip connecting the buttons across the area just above the brim.  Guess I will have to check out my stash of crafts/sewing stuff to see what I can come up with.  Stay tuned for the finished project.  So far I like it...even without anything added it is cute.  But leaving it plain would just be wrong and so not me.

The yarn is some I got last year on sale at Hobby Lobby.  I believe it is Vanna White's brand but I have no idea what the name of the color is since I used it originally for some other project  but decided it would probably make a good hat instead.  Does anyone else do that?  Start or make a project only to change your mind about it later?  I have a lot of yarn from unfinished projects.

I should make a category for things made from yarn that's been rescued from my other unfinished or ungifted projects.  Any ideas about what to call that category?  I have a whole box full of this kind of yarn.
